We have officially reached our goal of $24,300, plus more! God has surely blessed us greatly. This season of raising support, praying, and getting ready for this trip has been challenging, encouraging, and very humbling. As I have said before in previous posts, asking for financial support was something that was very daunting for all of us. God has seriously changed our perspective when it comes to this. For you see, God gives us the vision, and we must trust that he will move others to help support this vision. The people who support mission trips in prayer and finances are just as important as the ones who go on the trips themselves. So thank you so much for supporting this vision that God has given to us to go work with Church on the Rock in Vancouver, and experience, grow, and learn along the way. We could not have made it here without you.
Please continue praying for us as the summer goes on. For each of us, we are leaning into hear God’s voice, especially during this experience, to discern if church planting in the future is a door that He is leading us to. It could be, it might not be, either way, God will certainly do things in our hearts and minds that we could never foresee. The enemy will surely come against us, as he always does, to stir up confusion, disunity, and discouragement. So, cover us in prayer and protection, that we would not lose sight of why we are there, and that we would be obedient no matter what we feel inside. That when we don’t know what God is doing, that we would walk in faith like Abraham did, trusting that God called us to move, therefore he will provide all of the tools and answers we need when the time is right.
Also, please pray for the hearts and minds of the people that we are going to minister to. In Jeremiah 17:9 it says, “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it?” When one’s heart is not aligned with the will of God, it will lead you to ruin. What it tells you will seem to be true, but above all things the heart is deceitful. It cannot be trusted. Pray that the ways in which the enemy tries to blind people to the truth of the gospel will be unraveled. That the Lord will give us the courage and words to speak the truth to all those that we encounter. Once more, thank you so much for all your support. We will continue to update you on what is happening here on this blog. We will post videos as well. We will be leaving in two weeks so please pray for safe travels.
